More about Louisa Schloussen

Louisa Schloussen studied law in Berlin and Brussels and is now a lawyer at the law firm Rettenmaier in Frankfurt am Main, specialising in (commercial) criminal law, compliance and legal tech. She gained in-depth practical experience in international corporate law firms at an early stage and has already played a key role in the establishment and support of several reporting centres – particularly in the sports sector, for example in the context of UEFA EURO 2024.

She completed her doctorate with ‘summa cum laude’ honours on the topic of whistleblowing, accompanied by research stays in Paris and New York. She is also heavily involved in whistleblower protection, particularly as co-leader of the relevant working group of Transparency International Deutschland e. V.

For many years, she also worked as a volunteer victim counsellor for Weisser Ring e. V. Louisa Schloussen has been heard several times as an expert in legislative proceedings, in particular in the public hearings of the Legal Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag on the Whistleblower Protection Act. She is the author of the Beck online commentary on the Whistleblower Protection Act, regularly publishes legal articles and is a sought-after speaker and lecturer.
